Our community is largely self-governed, so taking part in it strikes me as essential.

Current roles

Co-leader of the Atelier de Bioinformatique team, ISYEB (2018 – ), with Lucie Bittner. The ABI is a long-standing group that accompanied the rise of bioinformatics in France. It is a welcoming and lively place, which makes it an excellent environment for research.

Co-head of the bio_maths_stats_info division, Faculty of Life Sciences, Sorbonne Université (2024 – 2025).

Doctoral school representative, ED227 (2024 – ).

Equality Officer (COREGAL) for CNRS (2025 – ).

Member of the JEDI committee (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) at ISYEB (2024 – ).

Evaluation and review

  • Expert evaluator for HORIZON-MSCA-2025-PF, European Commission.
  • Referee for various journals and conferences — Nucleic Acids Research, Bioinformatics, BMC Bioinformatics, RECOMB, among others. See ORCID.
  • Member of the scientific committee of JOBIM 2010.

  • Organising committee, MNHN bioinformatics meetings — 2018, 2019, 2020, 2023, 2024, 2025…
  • Joint SAD-ABI-OMICS seminars at MNHN — about six per year. Co-organised with M. Cariou from 2020 to 2022.
